This inviting look at the region surrounding Lake Tahoe emphasizes the area’s wide variety of beautiful landscapes. Oriented with east at the top, the image highlights the mountainous terrain; with the highest peaks labeled with their corresponding height. Numerous lakes are also named, but pale in size and color to the bright blue waters of Lake Tahoe.

In addition to a general overview of the scenery, the map also shows the location of post offices, golf courses, and notable local landmarks – several of which are carefully illustrated (see Cave Rock on the northern shore).
