Description

This charming little map was created and published in Boston by the Rand Avery Supply Company in 1912 to advertise the routes of The Delaware & Hudson Company (railroads) and the Lake George Steamboat Company (steamship lines).

Hotels, wharves, historic sites, and geographic features are labeled between Ticonderoga in the north and the town of Lake George in the south, with an index in the lower right for use as a finding aid. Shaded topography loosely reflects the region’s rugged terrain – an ideal environment for outdoor enthusiasts. Timetables and a map of the Delaware and Hudson network are presented on the verso.
