Description

This profound display of patriotism and corporate opportunism was created by the Greyhound Corporation in 1944. The various United Nations arrayed against the Axis Powers are shown in full force, with outlines, demographics, and the flag of each country shown across the page.

The central map shows the road systems of the United States with a helpful reminder to the audience (almost entirely American) that “Greyhound offers wartime transportation to more of America than any other travel system.” The verso of the sheet includes diagrams outlining the various insignia, decorations, and emblems of the Armed Forces, with additional text assuring the home front that Greyhound is doing all it can to support the war effort.
