Khinasi

The wind-swept lands of Khinasi in colorful cartographic form.

This elaborate and colorful reference map was issued as part of the Birthright Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting. It shows the region of Khinasi, situated on the southern edge of the continent of Cerilia and reflecting Moorish/Arabian culture. The rugged and mostly desert terrain is depicted pictorially, with various features (all of which affect gameplay) outlined further in the legend. Tactical Studies Rules (TSR) was founded in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in 1973 by Gary Gygax and Don Kaye to publish their wargames, quickly pivoting to focus on their groundbreaking tabletop role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons. The immense success of D&D in the late 1970s transformed the small company into a major force in the hobby game industry, leading to rapid expansion, a wide range of new products, and the launch of iconic campaign settings like Dragonlance, Ravenloft, and Forgotten Realms.
