Description
As the home of Walt Disney Studios and Warner Brothers Corporation, as well as the former site of NBC Studios, Burbank has a valid claim to its nickname as the media capital of the world. It was popularized as “Beautiful Downtown Burbank” during the introduction to The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and the late night host is seen here inviting you to experience all the city has to offer.
The map presents a cartoonish depiction of the city about 10 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles and includes local businesses, leisure activities, lodging, and travel options.
Drawn in 1981 by Jack Paul Miller and published locally by the Greater Burbank Visitor’s Guide.
