[Jacob’s Ladder Prop Map]

Rare prop map from the Apple TV show SEE.

See is a science fiction television drama produced by Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content for three seasons between 2019 and 2021. The show is set in a post-apocalyptic future in which the characters have lost the ability to see, reverting to an Iron Age level of existence.

This prop ‘map’, designed in a style like a Jacob’s Ladder toy, was featured on the series. Each wooden panel, likely carved by hand, features tactile representations of geographic features and landmarks. Leather strips allow segments to ‘fall’ down the ladder, facilitating a novel approach to directional aids without the use of sight.
