This undated promotional map was issued by the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, probably around 1970, to celebrate the company’s home region in Tennessee and its headquarters in Lynchburg. A large centerfold of the central part of the state highlights major exports and historic sites with illustrated vignettes. The verso offers a street plan of Lynchburg in a similar style, along with text that summarizes the various places of interest.
An interesting advertising piece that emphasizes the small population of Lynchburg (though only the population within the vicinity of the town square was counted in the census until 1988).
