Description
Jack and Jill or Who Brought the Water’ is a classic roll and move board game designed by Howard Garis and published in Springfield, Massachusetts by Milton Bradley in 1937. The illustrated game board was designed by the talented Lang Campbell and includes exactly 150 spaces between Jack and Jill’s house (the starting point) and Old Mother Hubbard (the end).
Certain obstacles along the route, like Humpty Dumpty’s wall, help one player and hinder the other. Numerous popular characters from Mother Goose’s nursery rhymes also make an appearance, including Jack Spratt, Little Boy Blue, and Miss Muffet. The verso provides a playing board for chess or checkers, allowing for some versatility in the playroom.
