Description
This exciting poster map of Iowa’s Great Lakes was designed by Gary Whitney and published in 1988 by International Caricature Productions, Inc. It presents a charming overview of the region in northwestern Iowa, just 185 miles from Minneapolis! Other nearby cities are noted in each corner.
Colorful illustrations showcase a variety of small businesses, the Midwestern landscape, and local attractions (note the Massacre Monument next to the Amusement Park). Vibrant contrasting shades of blue differentiate East and West Lake Okoboji, while Spirit Lake can be seen in the background (upper right). Text in the center right offers additional information about the region.
