Description
This interesting transit map shows the vast network of interurban lines of the Pittsburgh Railways Company and its connections in 1925. Service extends across the state line to Wheeling, West Virginia, and consisted of the third largest fleet of train cars in North America (after Toronto and Chicago).
Dozens of different lines and their operators are listed at the bottom of the page. Reprinted by the Pittsburgh Electric Railway Club in 1952.
