Description
This huge wall map was issued by North Wind Adventures, LLC in 2017 to accompany their adventure role-playing game, Hyperborea (first published in 2012). The image presents a geographically diverse continent surrounded by a vast sea and numerous islands. The superimposed hex grid allows for the careful evaluation of movement across the pictorial landscape, explained further in the legend (upper right). These elements drastically affect gameplay. According to the website;
“The heroes of a HYPERBOREA game delve dungeons filled with horrifying monsters, lethal traps, and bewildering puzzles; they explore savage wilderness frontiers and hostile borderlands; they probe ancient ruins and investigate cursed tombs; they match steel against sorcery, and sorcery against steel; and they plunder for gold, gems, and magical treasure in a decaying world inhabited by bloodthirsty monsters and weird, alien beings.”

Condition Description: Large color printed map on a single-sided sheet of glossy paper. Moderate wear and wrinkling from where previously rolled, mostly evident along a 4" section on the left side of the sheet. Some creasing in the ink has resulting in 'cracking' visible within the dark spots. Good condition overall.
