This engaging pictorial map covers an interesting combination of states including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and North Dakota. Small illustrations throughout show the relative location of popular game animals, fish, and fowl in addition to rodeos, boating opportunities, skiing, dog races, dude ranches, and the Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway. The verso presents a detailed road map of only Montana and northern Idaho, with insets of Waterton-Glacier and Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Parks.
The map was designed by Rand McNally and published in 1956 on behalf of the Husky Oil Company of Cody, Wyoming. Distributed compliments of H. Earl Clack, Inc., acquired by Husky the year prior.
