Description

This lovely view of Hong Kong’s harbor was designed by the talented Chicago-born artist Franklin McMahon (signed lower right). Luxury yachts vie for space next to simple fishing boats in the water. Modern high-rise buildings and advertisements for Rolex reflect the rapid industrialization of the second half of the 20th century.

Possibly one of his lesser-known works – I was unable to find examples through his online gallery or Getty Images, which hosts a large collection.
