This charming promotional brochure of Hollywood, California was issued in 1963 by the local Tourist and Convention Bureau. Over 200 different locations of interest are numbered throughout the image, divided into major categories like hotels, studios, churches, restaurants, and attractions.
Small stylized vignettes showcase particularly famous sites like Disneyland, the Hollywood Bowl, Griffith Park, and the La Brea Tar Pits. Distances are given from (approximately) the intersection of Hollywood and Vine Streets. Photographs and descriptive text are printed on the verso.
Dated using the presence of the Cinerama (first opened in 1963) and the Huntington Hartford Theater, which would be renamed to the Doolittle Theater in 1964.
