Description

This ludicrous little volume reeking of Russophobia was penned by William Reeve and printed in Toronto in 1909 by the National Press Limited. It explains in great detail how “Britain and her Colonies form the Nation and Company of Nations of Ephraim – Israel” and how King David’s lineage persists as an “enduring dynasty” to King Edward VII. Symbolism is extrapolated from the Bible, the Great Pyramid, and the Coronation Stone to support an outlandish theory of cyclical history that runs in seven periods of approximately 360 years between 776 B.C. and 1933.

Reeve predicts that, in that year, Russia will be destroyed and Israel/Judah will be restored to power, ushering in the second coming of Christ. Select historical events, verses from Scripture, and weird observations that attempt to create a link between the global power expressed by the British Empire and everlasting salvation for its people. For example, it’s posited that the Stone of Jacob is actually part of the Coronation Throne at Westminster Abbey!

The book is accompanied by a large folding chart that provides a visual outline of Reeve’s historical analyses and predictions. The confusing chronology outlines the major events and Biblical evidence of three ‘Overturnings’ that link Britain to the people of Israel. Of particular interest are the prophecies about forthcoming events in Russia, notorious for its institutionalized anti-Semitism and in the midst of severe domestic unrest after the First Revolution of 1905.
