This cartoonish overview makes a valiant effort to illustrate Harley-Davidson’s massive finishing plant in York, Pennsylvania. The ~1 million square foot facility is located across 230 acres and includes a 1.1-mile test track, pictured in the upper right. Elsewhere, numerous processes and the people that perform them are shown in a quaint style reminiscent of the late 80s and 90s.
Pressing, welding, polishing, chrome plating, assembly, and testing are among the numerous activities depicted across multiple buildings. The Rodney C. Gott Museum is shown in the lower left, while the shipping/receiving center in the foreground shows the global reach of international customers. Accompanying text provides further details on the manufacturing quality that made Harley-Davidson among the finest motorcycles on the market.
