Description

This small pocket map was published sometime during the 1920s ‘for the traveling public’ to promote the Klose Inn Cottage Court of Phoenix, Arizona. An advertisement on the front cover highlights the luxurious accommodations;

“Gas, lights, hot and cold water, shower baths, toilets, lavatory in each cottage; also kitchenettes, breakfast nook, combination living and sleeping room.”

An unpretentious image covers California, Arizona, and New Mexico; with transportation routes boldly outlined and place names labeled in a haphazard variety of scripts and fonts. Tables on the verso provide road distances from Phoenix to major urban areas in the Southwest.
