This basic map of portions of Los Angeles, California highlights the homes, studios, or performance locations of 140 different celebrities. Addresses for actors, radio stars, and other Hollywood hot shots ranging from Fred Astaire to Red Skelton are listed at the top, with corresponding numbered stars overlaid on the street grid.
Despite the relatively intrusive nature of the maps’ contents, the lower left reminds the reader “the homes of Movie and Television Stars are private residences. Please do not intrude in any way.”
The verso features a lovely pictorial bird’s eye view of Hollywood, Film Capital of the World, as well as an inset showing the exact locations of various studios, night clubs, hotels and theaters. Published in Los Angeles by Thomas Brothers Maps in 1960.
