This bemusing Cartifact was issued “with the compliments of the Government of Ontario and the Toronto Convention & Tourist Association, Inc.”, according to the text on the verso. It was designed to be stuck to the front windshield of automobiles crossing the border, though the message it means to convey remains unsaid.
On the verso is a simple road map of the highways from Detroit, through Toronto, and to Ottawa and eastern Canada. A recommended list of Toronto hotels is also presented.
