Description
This interesting shaded relief map of the world presents a detailed, if somewhat biased, overview of global strategic resources and military facilities. Naval and air bases, as well as the location of petroleum deposits, strategic metals, and power generation are noted according to the legends in the upper right and lower left. The upper left contains a diagram highlighting the comparative strength of Axis and Allied nations – the latter shown with a clear advantage.
The verso of the sheet presents a similar strategic map of the Pacific Theater. Both were drawn by C.G. Putnam and published in Chicago By Ross C. Rambeau in 1942.
