Description

This fascinating antique map of the Peloponnese and adjacent lands showcases the region’s rich history and Classical influences. Toponyms identify a fascinating mix of cities from a wide variety of cultures, including the Mycenaeans, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, and Turks. The map was engraved by Gaspar Andre and published in an Italian edition of Rigobert Bonne’s Atlas Encyclopedique, probably in 1788.
