This rather straightforward road map of Nevada was published by the B.F. Goodrich Rubber Company as part of its nationwide Touring Service. Hoping to build a lifelong customer base, Goodrich offered maps covering the entire continental U.S.
Main and secondary automobile routes are shown with solid and cased lines, respectively. ‘Textured’ lines outline various forests and deserts, though topographic details are relatively sparse. Of notable interest is the Proposed Roosevelt National Park, located across the border in California. The verso of the sheet presents several advertisements for Goodrich products and lists the branches of the Transport Bureau. Also provided is a mileage table for the most popular routes across Nevada.
