Description

“This 35 cent atlas contains more information than is included in individual maps of above areas costing $3.00” proclaims the bottom of the cover page. The contents of the atlas appear to back up that assertion.

Ten separate maps cover various Asian regions in tremendous detail; highlighting political organization, outlining transportation routes, and providing a wealth of information to a wartime public. Maps included cover the Pacific Ocean, Japan and its empire, China, Australia, the East Indies, Southeast Asia, the Philippines, and the Indian Ocean.

The maps were designed by the talented Alexander Gross and published in 1944 by the Geographia Map Company in New York.
