This charming map of southwestern Colorado extends to include portions of New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona – states that comprise the well-known ‘Four Corners’ region of the United States. The image was drawn by celebrated pictorial cartographer Don Bloodgood and published by a local real estate agent.

The map is emblematic of its author, featuring his distinctive illustrated style rife with humorous elements and literal interpretations of place names. Transportation routes are also noted, with various lines representing main highways, secondary roads, and Jeep trails. Surrounding the image are numerous contemporary advertisements for local businesses, with additional ads available on the verso of the sheet.
