Description

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground was established in 1971 as a campground and water park adjacent to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The pioneer theme went well with the largely outdoor site, and local amenities and transportation options provided affordable access for thousands of visitors (including the author, during his childhood).

This plan of the park was published in 1981 and shows a detailed outline of the grounds. An inset in the lower left shows its location relative to the sprawling grounds of the Walt Disney World Resort.
