Flying from the Desert
Escape to Cuba with Bacardi rum!
Out of stock
Description
This fun pictorial postcard was published in Havana, probably in the early 1920s, by Compania Litografica de la Habana. Uncle Sam is shown riding a bat to Cuba to flee the oppressive ‘Dry Laws’ posted in nearby Florida. Prohibition shut down Bacardi’s New York operations, but widespread efforts by the company to promote Cuba as a tourism destination helped boost the bottom line.
