This cartoon map was published around 1970 for sale as a souvenir to visitors of Fantasy Island – a former amusement park located about 13 miles north of Buffalo, New York, near Niagara Falls. The park first opened in 1961 and expanded significantly for approximately the next two decades.
The map shows various attractions, rides, and amenities in a charming illustrated style near the height of the park’s popularity. A series of sales led to various rebrandings, including Niagara Amusement Park & Splash World, but despite the best efforts of operators, the park closed permanently in 2019.
