Description
The 1967 International and Universal Exposition was a World’s Fair held in Montreal between April and October. Over sixty separate nations participated and nearly 55 million visitors attended the event, making it one of the most successful World’s Fairs of the 20th century.
This double-sided guide was issued by the Bank of Montreal for attendees. One side shows a plan of the fairgrounds, with much of the area situated on two islands in the St. Lawrence River. The verso shows a simple street map of Montreal surrounded by vignettes highlighting its civic architecture.
