Description

Evansville, Indiana is a mid-sized city situated in southwestern Indiana on the banks of the Ohio River. This illustrated stylization (there were a lot more parking lots last time I was there) was designed locally by Rowe & Field, Inc. It was published in 1980 by the South Central Broadcasting Corporation to promote WIKY AM 82, a local radio station.

Numerous vignettes highlight the various public buildings, recreational opportunities, businesses, and amusements throughout the city and surrounding area. Of note are Ellis Park, the riverboat Delta Queen, and Bosse Field, the third oldest continually operating professional ballpark and the film set for A League of Their Own.
