This “early computer” provides detailed political and geographic information for thirty four European countries, including the Free City of Danzig and the Irish Free State. Government types include kingdoms, republics, duchys and principalities and the various national colors shown would be seen fluttering on battle flags across the continent in less than a decade after publication.
Volvelles were geographic games popular with schoolchildren in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Spinning the wheel provided different information based on the selection, which often reflected imperial ambitions and attitudes.
