Description
This interesting piece of Star Wars-related ephemera was one of four ‘planetary maps’ published by Kenner in the 1980s to accompany their line of toys. The image draws heavily upon The Return of the Jedi, recreating several scenes from the film. Text in the lower right summarizes the heavy odds against the Rebels and their allies, the Ewoks. An aerial view of the Death Star shield reactor is provided in the center, while a diagram in the lower left (the only ‘map’ element on the sheet) shows the approximate locations of other planets in the Star Wars galaxy – Bespin, Hoth, Tattoine, and the Death Star.
