This informational poster map was created and published in Washington, D.C. in 1966 by the Civic Education Service as part of its Headline-Focus Wall Map series. A simple map shows the political division between East and West Germany, with several scattered vignettes identifying industrial and agricultural resources, notable points of interest, and current events.
Information on each nation’s population, terrain, government, and economy is provided and portraits of the leaders (Ludwig Erhard and Walter Ulbricht) can be seen near the top of the sheet.
