Description

This relatively simple street plan of Dallas, Texas was published in Chicago by George F. Cram in 1898. Cemeteries, parks, and the course of the Trinity River are highlighted in the same shade of blue – likely to minimize printing costs. Various locations of interest are labeled, including the Ursuline Convent, Water Works, Episcopal College, and Post Office. Also of interest is the Dallas & Oak Cliff Elevated Railway, connecting the newly developed southern suburb to downtown.
