Souvenir reprint of a beautiful cordiform world map.

Description
This jaw-dropping heart-shaped world map was originally engraved by the Veronese artist Giovanni Cimerlino and published in 1566. It was based on Oronce Fine’s similar image issued in 1534 and referenced in the title. The cordiform map is surrounded by elaborate strapwork, angels, and cherubs in lavish color.
The map is a reproduction published by Rand McNally in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Royal Museums Greenwich has a 1969 Christmas card that appears to use the same image.
