This precise aerial perspective of Columbia University was drawn by Peter Mondello in 1984, 250 years after the institution was reopened as Columbia College following the American Revolutionary War. The campus is accurately reflected with detailed representations of major facilities and landmarks.

Butler and Low Memorial Library anchor the central axis, flanked by historic academic halls. Surrounding points of interest like Grant’s Tomb are also noted. An inset in the lower right shows The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, while text in the upper right provides a brief history of the Ivy League university.
