Description

This colorful map of Colorado was published by George Cram in 1908. Apart from the vibrant county configurations, the state’s robust network of railroads and rugged topography are on full display. Settlements are concentrated heavily along the iron rails and navigable rivers, as otherwise access was only available by stagecoach, horse, or on foot.

Major geographic features such as mountain ranges, the Continental Divide, springs, rivers, and valleys are individually labeled.
