Description
This vibrant street plan of St. Paul, Minnesota was published locally in 1922 by the McGill Warner Co. It shows a detailed outline of the city and its primary transportation thoroughfares. Streetcar lines are highlighted in red, railroads are shown in black, and even a few early automobile highways are named and brightly labeled. Streets, geographic features, important buildings, and notable landmarks are also identified throughout the image.
The bottom of the sheet has a comprehensive street index and list of local schools, while the verso presents a number of photographs and text advertising St. Paul hotels, recreational opportunities, public buildings, and more. A detailed outline of the city center with fifty seven numbered landmarks is also included.

Condition Description: Originally folded into 24 panels. Shows moderate wear and creasing along fold lines, including small spots of separation and wear at fold intersections. Numerous tape repairs on the verso, including a few with old cellophane tape. A few small edge tears remain and there is extraneous creasing in the margins, but the map remains in good condition overall.
