Description

Nice little map of Muncie, with an inset aerial photograph centered on the Delaware County Courthouse. An additional inset shows the city in 1954, the same year it was incorporated as a town (later as a city in 1865). Includes a street index and list of prominent manufacturers, including the Ball Brothers Company.

A previous owner has written routes in pencil and ink, including a destination on Riley Avenue and a route “to Andersonville.”

Condition Description: Some very faint smudging in spots on both sides. The front and back panels (on verso) exhibit soiling, but the map is clean and in very good condition. Manuscript annotations show directions "to Andersonville."
