Description

Virginia City is a mining boomtown that exploded in population after the discovery of the Comstock Lode in 1859. Silver production peaked in the mid 1870’s and Chinese immigrants made up a large percentage of the workers. They also participated in a number of other occupations, some of which are on display here in a stereotypical form.
