Description
Printed by the Ameron, Amberg & Co. of Chicago less than a year before America entered WWI, this folding sheet was ‘FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND INFORMATION OF EMPLOYE[E]S ONLY.” It opens to reveal a detailed timetable and rate chart for the routes between Kenosha and Rockford.
The back page presents a route map of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway lines across Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Double tracks and lines under construction are identified according to the key below the mileage table. Two insets on the right side show connecting routes to the West. Designed by the Poole Brothers of Chicago.

Condition Description: Map and timetables are heavily worn and the paper is very brittle, resulting in numerous edge tears and chips throughout. Several have been repaired with archival tape, but small spots of separation remain. The paper loss is minimal and does not affect the overall image.
