Description
This rare promotional broadside was published in 1909 by the Champion Shoe Machinery Company of St. Louis, MO. Several new models of finishing, stitching, and nailing machines (or a combination thereof) are shown. There are two interesting views in the center of the page. One shows a massive production facility, the ‘New Home of the Champion’, and presumably located at 3727-3741 Forest Park Boulevard. Immediately below is the interior of the Champion Shoe Shop, which shows well-dressed patrons waiting for their custom-made footwear.

Condition Description: Lithographed broadsheet printed on somewhat thin pulp paper. Creased along old folds and moderate to heavy wear visible in several areas - chips in the margins, irregular tears repairs on verso (see upper left), and a few areas with very minor image loss (worst in lower right). Pinholes in the corner and some marginal wear present. Between fair and good condition overall.
