This vibrant pictorial map of San Diego County was illustrated by Gaston Lokvig (signed, lower right) and published by Carol Mendel in 1999. Major regional attractions are represented with charming pictorial vignettes while the network of highways and interstates is highlighted in bright red. Similarly designed maps on the verso offer lovely overviews of Balboa Park, Old Town, and Mission Bay Park, along with a relatively straightforward street plan of downtown San Diego.
