Description

This interesting assortment of mid-century road maps of Mexico was issued by Pemex, the national petroleum company. A series of nine small maps highlights the primary automobile routes across several different regions. Archaeological sites and Pemex stations are noted throughout with red triangles and green dots, respectively.

The map was published in Mexico City by Litho Offset Latina, S.A. Undated, but certainly published before 1952, before the reorganization of Baja California. Likely from the late 40s or very early 50s, as also expressed through the iconic ‘Charrito’ logo. An advertisement on the front cover promotes the Posada de la Mision of Taxco.
