Description
Caltex is a petroleum company formed in 1936 as a partnership between Chevron and Texaco aiming to acquire a larger market share of the Eastern Hemisphere. It aided the Allied war effort during WWII and significantly expanded in the postwar years.
This colorful pictorial map was published in a 1962 magazine and it shows the various methods of transportation fueled by Caltex products, even a sailing ship? An image of a service station can be seen in the lower left, with the red star emblematic of its Texaco parent company.
