A treasure seeker’s guide to gold across California.

Description
This map, likely worth at least it’s weight in gold (get it?), was designed and published in 1986 by Ron and Karin Graefe for prospective treasure hunters coming to seek California’s famous riches. Gold deposits, streams, and a handful of place names are superimposed on a simple statewide transportation map.
An inset on the left side shows the outline of the California Desert and King Rantion National Conservation Areas. Within the image, local land ownership information is notably absent, but that’s for the prospectors to figure out!
