Description
This interesting road atlas of the United States implores its audience to ‘Look for the Buick Authorized Sign of Service’ when traveling across America. Boldly illustrated covers advertising the car brand contain a group of 20+ single and double-page maps, created by Rand McNally, covering the contiguous states and portions of southern Canada.
A double-page map of the U.S. pinpoints the location of Buick Motor Company branches and distributors, while the individual region maps highlight the location of Buick authorized service stations. U.S. Interstate Highways, established and organized by the Federal Highway Act of 1921, are shown in green throughout, while a variety of other road surfaces and conditions are noted according to the legend on each page. State highway markers retain their own unique labels, also represented where applicable.
Published in Chicago in either 1928 or 1929, according to the Rand McNally date codes on the map.
