Description
This handy tri-fold map of the German port city of Bremerhaven was published in January 1946 by Gustav A. Schmidt of Hamburg. It was issued by the United Seamen’s Service, Inc. for use by American merchant seamen stationed on duty or leave in the zone of American occupation. Eight different locations of interest are identified within the image, plus the U.S.S. Club is represented with an American flag. Text on the verso notes places of entertainment (largely the same as those presented on the recto) and ‘Clubs and Facilities on the Continent and in the United Kingdom.’
