American Airlines supposed contributions to national security.

An advertisement taken from Time Magazine, placing the American Airlines System Map in the context of a Blueprint for Defense. Industries throughout the United States, including transportation, food packaging, arms manufacturing, energy companies and more all sought to capitalize on the war fever that swept the country after Pearl Harbor. Advertisements such as this reflecting on the company’s patriotism and (hopefully) boosted profits – two birds with one stone!
