This brightly colored poster map shows Beverly Hills, California, around the time it was developing its popular reputation as an upscale Los Angeles suburb filled with celebrity residents (Beverly Hills, 90210 came out in 1990). Illustrated profiles of local businesses like restaurants, professional services, and salons make for effective advertisements. A typewriter repair shop contrasts sharply with the computer training college and reflects the rapidly changing economy of the late 20th century. To the right can be seen Restaurant Row (anchored by Benihana), while world-famous Rodeo Drive is one of numerous labeled streets.
