Description
This climate atlas of the Republic of Mexico presents a wealth of information collected between 1921 and 1925 – some of the first stable years after the turbulence of the decade-long Mexican Revolution. A folding map of Mexico’s 276 meteorological stations is accompanied by several pages of data and dozens of single-page maps. Temperature, rainfall, topography, and winds are just a few of the climatological phenomena explored within the covers. Seasonal variations are noted – an important consideration in the agrarian economy, then undergoing a period of significant industrialization.
Published, probably in 1926, by the Mexican Meteorological Service, led by Mariano Moctezuma under Pedro C. Sanchez’s Directorate of Geographical and Climatological Studies (part of the Ministry of Agriculture and Development).

Contents (complete) are printed on thin paper and generally good to very good, with scattered surface soiling, creased corners, and other moderate signs of age and use.
